Alright; let me put you on to this dress that I fell in looooove with this summer! It’s comfy but so stylish. It’s simple but can state so much. It can stand out on it’s own or you can add a little to it to change it up so many ways. I titled this the LBD and I actually had to check myself on Google to see if a “Little Black Dress” could be long and it said it could. :). But, this baby comes in more that just black, too!

This dress is a Skims dupe I spent less than $25 on! Yes….. that’s right! This is a dress so many have asked me for the link for {Click for link} and I’ve gotten so many compliments when I wear it. To be honest I am sure it’s not as shaping as the Skims real deal, but this is THE REAL “DEAL” at the price point, y’all! It’s material is like shape wear also; it feels like really nice quality and is so comfortable.
I spend roughly 99.9% of my time at home, in my car chauffeuring my children, or at a child’s school or sporting event. I admit I love that I can go to most of what my life calls for in yoga or sweat pants if I want. But, dressing up is always a fun escape for me. And I’ve always loved style and fashion. It’s such an amazing form of self expression!
But I’ve honestly never wanted to pay a ton for it. It changes so much and I get bored so easily. I also love finding staples I think will last year after year and I think this is one.
I’ll show you how I styled it and some ideas I think are so fun for it, but first look at all these colors it comes in besides just black!
So, I wore this first for a girl’s weekend and I dressed it up a bit. I am 5’5″ but I have a long torso and short legs. I wore a medium and paired with some wedges. I could have gone with a small and it would have been a better fit for flat sandals or tennis shoes, but I felt a bit more comfortable in the medium. I ordered both (small and medium) and debated which to keep because they boht worked, but settled on medium for comfort. This is how I styled it:
I went with some simple gold touches and small gold hoops also. But, I love that you could go all black with this dress, a fun patterned shoe, or basically any fun color! The wedges are here. I usually wear a 7.5-8, but I do love Jessica Simpson shoes and have bought enough before to know it’s best if I size up. I went to an 8.5 and it was perfect. I didn’t think the comfort level was bad at all, but if you are sensitive to comfort; I’ve gotten these before and they are a dream in the comfort zone (and the hot pink is such a fun color)!
I found that necklace on this shop on Etsy and it was just as described and shipped/delivered as it said it would be. It’s a simple aventurine stone on a small gold chain. I’m a little whoo-whoo so I’ll quickly say it’s a stone associated with luck, prosperity, serendipity, abundance, and more. But, I think a simple chain like this one that’s not low-hanging would also be so perfect for this look.
If you’re wearing this dress out for a day event like wine tasting or maybe an early evening I think these glasses will make the look! I love them and they’re also a smokin’ deal when it comes to price point! And tons of cute options of colors for these also.
I think this dress could be absolutely adorable dressed down a bit this fall, also. I’m thinking flannel and sneakers for sure:
And that orange is pure sunshine! That would be so striking and stand out and a ray of light! This dress is so stretchy and comfy I also bet it would be an adorable maternity dress. Pink or blue for baby shower or maternity shoot? Or that white would be hot (!!!) for a bridal event. And I can’t help but think those green ones would look amazing on an olive complexion or a good (spray, of course) tan. It seriously could be dressed up or down.
Or how cute would that grey one be with some tennis shoes? I imagine the super duper adorable girl I see traveling like that at the airports and I’m like, “I need her style!” Here it is! Or a day out with the girls in that would be so fun! The grey with the tennis shoes and a flannel or thermal tied around the waist? Okay…. I need to stop before I order this in every color.
But,I had to share this find. It’s amazing and you gotta pick at least one and snag it up before they figure out it’s underpriced and that all changes! 🙂
